Inner Harbor

As suggested, I went downtown to try some night HDR images. After walking all around the harbor and stopping at over 25 spots to shoot... here's the cream of the crop. Overall I am pleased with how they turned out. If I applied a black border and "Baltimore" title across the bottom I think I could maybe even pass a few of the shots off as a tacky generic skyline poster! haha...

In addition to the harbor and skyline shots I snuck in behind one of the fancy yacht owners to the private dock in the harbor to check out the boats. There was quite a party scene in that marina! I took a few shots while I was there, although it wasn't easy trying to get a longer exposure on a surface that is constantly moving. Over half my shots have serious motion blur, but a few turned out alright...

On a sidenote, I had no idea we'd put musical fountains in in the harbor...

  1. I am very pleased with the harbor shot. Glad you had fun at the party. The panorama is very successful also. I'm glad you went out and did this. I'm seeing progress in your work week to week. The photoshopping helps tone down some of the over highlighted areas... that's working for you to. I'd like to talk to you in the next week... in person... about a game plan for part two of the semester. Email me.
